Pe 19 februarie va avea loc Competitia Nationala “Odyssey of the Mind” editia 2011 Locul: Liceului Teoretic “Mihail Kogalniceanu”, Chisinau, sect. Rascani, str. Miron Costin 3 Ora: 9.00 - Festivitatea de deschidere Orarul competitiei Disponibil in interiorul stirii.
La competitie sau inregistrat 23 de echipe din diverse regiuni ale Republicii Moldova. 5 echipe vor fi selectate pentru a reprezenta Republica Moldova in cadrul Festivalului European din Gdansk, Polonia in mai 2011.
Delegaţia Republicii Moldova a revenit de la Festivalul European "Odiseea Cugetului", care a avut loc in tabara “Zubrionok”, Belarus, între 22-27 aprilie, cu rezultate foarte bune. Ţara noastră a fost reprezentată de 6 echipe: Treasure Hunters, Mereni, Anenii Noi Sweet Paprika, Calarasi Funny Chipmunks, Bravicea, Calarasi Dwarf Band, Bravicea, Calarasi Fat Mosquitoes, Chisinau GIM Junior, Cimislia
Echipa GIM Junior, Cimislia a reuşit să obţină locul întâi la concursul problemelor mixte, lucrind impreuna cu echipe din Rusia si Polonia.
Echipa Fat Mosquitoes, Chisinau a obtinut Premiul de Creativitate pentru tema de acasa, pentru proba spontana. Premiul de Creativitate a revenit echipei GIM Junior, Cimislia.
La festival au fost prezente 76 de echipe din mai multe ţări, printre care Slovacia, Ungaria, România, Germania, Polonia, Estonia, Belarus, Rusia, Kazahstan, Elveţia şi Republica Moldova.

Cum a fost anuntat anterior, competitia Spot "Odyssey of the Mind" va fi organizata in acest week-end, pe 5-6 decembrie.
Participarea este libera pentru toate echipele doritoare. Sunt incurajate sa participe mai ales echipele care nu au mai participat in programul "Odyssey of the Mind". Limba concursului: engleza sau romana, la alegerea echipelor (dar atentie, competitia nationala se va desfasura doar in limba engleza).
Echipele doritoare de a participa sunt rugate sa transmita un e-mail la marcelATcucPOINTmd, in care sa indice adresa la care doresc sa primeasca problema pentru acasa.
Competitia propriu-zisa va avea loc duminica, cu incepere de la ora 10:00, in incinta liceului "Gh. Asachi". Orarul competitiei de duminica, cu probele problemei de acasa si cea a problemei spontane vor fi publicate sambata dupa-amiaza, dupa ce vom avea confirmarea numarului de echipe participante.

Ţara noastră a fost reprezentată de 6 echipe: Black Cats, Anenii Noi The Googles, Bravicea Star's Defenders, Glodeni Hoty Pies, Calarasi Sweet Paprika, Calarasi GIM Junior, Cimislia
Echipa The Googles, Bravicea a reuşit să obţină locul întâi la concursul problemelor mixte între echipele din diviziile I şi II (cele mai mici echipe). În acelaşi concurs, echipa Black Cats, Anenii Noi, a ocupat locul trei.
În concursul echipelor mari, diviziile III-IV, pe prima treaptă a podiumului la concursul problemelor mixte a urcat echipa Hoty Pies din Călăraşi.
La festival au fost prezente în jur de 70 de echipe din mai multe ţări, printre care Slovacia, Ungaria, România, Germania, Polonia, Camerun, Belarus, Rusia, Kazahstan, Elveţia şi Republica Moldova. Republica Moldova a fost unica tara care a urcat pe prima treapta a podiumului la ambele categorii de varsta!

On February 15 the 2009 Odyssey of the Mind National Competition took place at Gaudeamus Lyceum in Chisinau. 16 teams attended the event. See below the results of the competition, as well as the names of the teams elected by the judging committee to represent our country at the European Festival in Slovakia.

19 teams from 9 places (Chisinau, Orhei, Anenii Noi, Bravicea, Calarasi, Mereni, Cimislia, Glodeni, Salcuta) will attend the event. Some of these teams will qualify for the European Festival, which will take place in Slovakia.

As you already know, CMJI is organizing the 2009 Odyssey of the Mind National Competition. 19 teams from 9 places (Chisinau, Orhei, Anenii Noi, Bravicea, Calarasi, Mereni, Cimislia, Glodeni, Salcuta) will attend the event. The competition will be held on February 15 at Gaudeamus Lyceum.
With this occasion our Club is invited to nominate up to 8 judges for the competition. If you have a good command of English and want to participate in this great event, please confirm you interest by posting a comment to this article. As well, you will be invited to join a judges' training that will take place in Gaudeamus Lyceum on February 8, 10 AM. The aim of the training is to explain the rules of the competition and to present the judging principles.
The Moldovan Intellectual Games Club is glad to inform that it was chosen as the host organization for the Odyssey of the Mind Program in Moldova. Therefore, we will be in charge for organizing the 2009 National Tournament. The teams are invited to register using the above form (please use Internet Explorer for convinience). A list of registered teams will be published on the right side of the page. Please consider that teams must be composed of maximum 7 persons. Once registered, the participants cannot be removed from the team. After registration, each team will receive this year's 4 long term problems and will be able to choose one of them for the competition. THE SOONER YOU REGISTER, THE SOONER YOU GET THE PROBLEMS!

The tournament itself will be held on February, 14-15, 2009. The venue of the event will be announced later.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics. They then bring their solutions to competition on the local, state, and World level. Thousands of teams from throughout the U.S. and from about 25 other countries participate in the program.
